Creating hype & paying tribute to sponsors

As the Marketing Strategist at MetroRock Climbing Centers, one of my biggest assignments was managing all social media posts, both in house and sponsor specific for the Dark Horse Bouldering Series, one of the premier bouldering competitions in the country.

Over the course of the four month competition series, I managed over 150 posts for sponsors such as YETI, Adidas, La Sportiva, prAna, Adidas Terrex and more, as well as weekly in house posts. These images were part of an overall Instagram campaign and were scheduled before each monthly round of the competition. 

‘May the Horse be with You’ and ‘Come Join the Dark Side’ were tributes to the newest Star Wars movie, which opened in theaters the same day of the competition. 

The Bring your Dark Horse Game video promoted the prize purse in the week before the final round.
