During my time as the Marketing Strategist at MetroRock Climbing Centers, I was responsible for a wide range of graphic design and branding projects. As a New England regional rock climbing gym with four locations, new programs and marketing campaigns crop up everyday. With a new gym opening in Bushwick, NY, I created a postcard to be put around the neighborhood in coffee shops and to give to local businesses.
Known for it’s premier regional bouldering competition, the Dark Horse Bouldering Series, the bold grunge feel of cement and spray paint of this poster reflect its prestige and ten year legacy.
In contrast, MetroRock’s sister non-profit Urban Peaks is known for it’s climbing programs for New England-based organizations serving underrepresented youth, including schools, day camps, and mental health intervention services. Their annual fundraiser, the Climb-a-thon offers games, workshops and gear raffles, appealing to both adults and children.
